EPM MUSIC GROUP

DESIGNATES ANGEL DAVIS’

 SOUL-STIRRING “I MADE IT”

THE FIRST RADIO SINGLE FROM FORTHCOMING

“RISING STARS” GOSPEL COMPILATION

Atlanta, GA – The EPM Music Group is excited about rising gospel star Angel Davis’ electrifying, bass-heavy track “I Made It” that will be featured on the label’s forthcoming “Rising Stars” gospel compilation CD. It’s the first radio single from the project and to quote EPM’s A&R Director Gerald Jones: “Angel is beasting on the lead vocals.” EPM Vice President Keith Williams adds that, “This song is going to really resonate in the hearts and minds of people from all walks of life.”

The 29-year old Dover, Delaware native began singing in church at the age of four. The youngest of three girls and a preacher’s kid, Davis was raised on the sounds of Vickie Winans and The Clark Sisters. She’s been one of Earnest Pugh’s background singers for five years and he recently featured her on the high-energy track “Everybody Lift Him” on his best-selling “The W.I.N. (Worship in Nassau)” Experience” CD. She’s currently working on her own solo CD that she anticipates releasing in late 2014.

“This series is my vision of creating a larger platform for untapped talent that has been working on the backside of the desert for years and its time to push them to the forefront and expose them to the masses,” EPM founder Earnest Pugh says of the “Rising Stars” compilation that will be released in the summer of 2014. Davis, who currently resides in Fayetteville, NC, is a praise and worship leader at a church in that city.

URBAN CONTEMPORARY GOSPEL GROUP

CHARLES BUTLER & TRINITY

WILL RELEASE SECOND SINGLE “AMAZING WORTH”

DIGITALLY ON EPM MUSIC GROUP APRIL 15, 2014

Due To Consumer Demand Last Year’s Digital Only CD “Better”

Will Release In Physical Format on June 24th In Stores Everywhere

The urban contemporary gospel group Charles Butler & Trinity is known throughout the Middle Atlantic states for its compelling live performances and on the national level, many recall their celestial backing of Earnest Pugh on his riveting 2010 #1 radio smash “Rain On Us.” After the Top 15 iTunes chart positioning with their first national radio release “Better” last year the group is ready for their second close-up with their inspiring new single, “Amazing Worth.”

“I’m excited that `Amazing Worth’ is our second single,” Butler says. “It simply talks about all the things that make God Amazing. God’s love is unfailing and his hand is Unchanging. I want people to hear this song and reflect on God’s love and his Amazing love towards us.”

The soaring ballad is led by the warm tenor of Jeremiah Hicks (who’s also sung with the likes of Kirk Franklin and Byron Cage) and has already been serviced to gospel radio. The digital single goes on sale on iTunes, Amazon mp3 and other digital platforms on April 15th. James Ziegler, who shepherds the dynamic gospel group Another Level, wrote the song.  The recording was produced by Morgan Turner (an extraordinary bassist who’s collaborated with the likes of John P. Kee, Dorinda Clark Cole and Jonathan Nelson).

“Due to the overwhelming demand and numerous requests for hard copies of Charles Butler & Trinity’s `Better’ CD we’re finally making it available in physical format, “ says EPM Music Group A&R Director Gerald Jones. The physical CD is scheduled for release on June 24, 2014. “The lyric content is right on point and the lead vocalist, Jeremiah Hicks, is one of my favorite singers on planet earth,” says EPM Group founder Earnest Pugh. “To be honest the entire CD is blazing so we are pleased to release the CD on a larger scale for our colleague Charles Butler.”

Butler formed Trinity in 1997 and they’ve been on a roll ever since. They’ve appeared on scores of concerts and appearances backing other artists. However, they got their first taste of national acclaim when they backed gospel star Earnest Pugh on his classic 2009 recording of “Rain on Us.” The song shot to #1 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart and has been a radio staple ever since. Pugh has since had the group tour with him and signed them to EPM in 2012 and the rest is history. For more information on EPM Music Group artists, Visit www.epmmusicgroup.com.

GOSPEL’S LEADING MAN

EARNEST PUGH

CREATES A NEW VALENTINE’S DAY ANTHEM

WITH A REMAKE OF THE CLASSIC SONG “YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL”

Digital Single Hits iTunes On February 11, 2014

One of gospel music’s most popular crooners, Earnest Pugh, is serenading his fans with a classic love song for Valentine’s Day. The dynamic five-octave singer has refreshed Joe Cocker’s 1975 Top Ten Pop hit “You Are So Beautiful” (written by the legendary organist Billy Preston with Bruce Fisher) from a Christian perspective and is releasing it as a special Valentine’s Day single. The heartwarming tune goes on sale on iTunes on February 11th via Pugh’s EPM Music Group/eOne Entertainment label.

“I was married at 18 years old and divorced 18 years later because I had a very skewed view of what love was all about,” Pugh confesses. “I thought it was all about providing `things’ opposed to true love and quality time. Life has taught me a valuable lesson now on how to give and receive love on a different level. With each experience over the years I have gained a love and passion for expressing love to those who mean the most to me. This anthem is one way to empower our loved ones with a description of their inward beauty.” Soundcloud snippet:

Pugh is planning to hit the road during Valentine’s Week to perform the song at churches with Married & Engaged Couple’s events. “We’re planning on doing five cities,” Pugh says. “The full itinerary will be published soon.” To learn more about Earnest Pugh and to inquire about the tour, logon at www.earnestpugh.com.

THE BLUFF CITY’S OWN

VINCENT THARPE & KENOSIS

SCORES FIRST BILLBOARD TOP TEN CD

WITH FIRST NATIONAL PROJECT, “LIVE IN MEMPHIS”

Memphis’ most dynamic young gospel ensemble, Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis, has taken a large leap ahead on its trek to stardom. The group’s debut CD “Live in Memphis” (EPM Music Group) has debuted at #9 on Billboard’s coveted Top Gospel Albums chart. “WOW,” the 24-year old Tharpe says. “I am totally in awe of the favor of God on my life and the life of my music ministry. This is my very first CD, and to see that it has debuted in the Top 10 on the charts, brings about an overwhelming, awesome feeling.”

“Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis have shown the youthful exuberance and dedication to ministry that we truly believe is the future of Gospel Music,” says EPM Music Group General Manager Scott Cameron. “We signed VTK because of this, and in particular the ensemble’s dynamic live performances with their ability to lift any church off its foundation.” It’s no surprise that the spirited assembly’s percussively funky sing-a-long track “Thank You, Lord” is beginning to make an impact at gospel radio as well. Their joyous song of gratitude has entered Nielsen BDS’ Top 100 Gospel Airplay Report.

Tharpe received the inspiration to launch his own group when he was the director of the Voices of Harambee, a gospel choir at Craigmont High School in Memphis. He took the word Kenosis from Philippians 2:5-8 (a Biblical scripture) in which Jesus Christ emptied himself of his divine attributes in order to identify with mankind. Their soul-stirring stage performances have the gospel world buzzing and earned them an appearance on BET’s long-running “Bobby Jones Gospel” program. “I wanted to give them this opportunity to `bring it’ on a national level,” says EPM founder and Stellar Award nominated vocalist Earnest Pugh. “I’m very optimistic about their ministry because they manage to attract young adults but they are also seasoned enough to capture the attention of the mature church crowd as well.” For more information on Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis and other EPM Music Group acts, visit www.epmmusicgroup.com.
